Part 34b: The Photos

So as promised, my ski weekend photos! Well some of (I actually took 102 all up, which all considered, isnt that much compared to what I normally take! Hehe) I hope you like them. My personal favorite photo here is the second one.

Enjoy !

Welcome to the Villar d'Arene where everything is pretty and covered in snow.

the view from the front door. Pretty amazing.

This is the group of adults I was with. Okay, I would love to tell you all their names but I cant so! I will do the ones I know... Um... so Benoit and Carole are the back on the left and then Letissa is on the right second from the back. Done. She is sitting next to her husband who stayed home the first half of Saturday. Opposite me, the woman there could speak English and did that with me. She was was with the guy in black on the right. The woman next to her was really nice and had some English, but not much so when speaking, we spoke French. She was with the guy at the end of the table. I will ask Carole for their names and maybe edit this post for you all :) God I am crap. haha

the church really was oversized. I mean it was massive. And the town was sooo small. It looked like it was falling apart some too, but that just added character!

Fanny and Salome after our snow fight well.. it started again straight after this photo. Yea, we were too tough for gloves. My hands nearly fell off in the end though haha.

This is on the mountain, the photos dont quite do this place justice but god! the mountains went forever, it was so unreal. Here, you can see that we were right up the top of the mountains because you can look down on the other ones!

Looking down at the other ones...

I took this photo whilst on the chairlift theres ALWAYS an airplane with the trail somewhere. I mean, I can see them like anytime I look for one. Its ridiculously cool haha.

Carole, Tim, Teophan and I one the top of the mountains :) I have silly sunnies that dont suit me that I borrowed from they guy sitting at the end of the table in the prev. photo

Just a photo. haha. Mountains, blue sky pretty. Haha

I had a video lined up for you all to show you the house I was in, but the uploader failed and thus, I apologise. No video :(

Part 34a: Allez, lets go!

To start off with, 'Allez, Lets go!' is something Benoit says a lot mainly to the kids, when he is in charge or wants to get some people moving and I heard it a lot today and I think it sounds cool... Anyway...

Ski Weekend. I could write an incredibly long and detailed account of this weekend just gone but seriously, it would go on for ever. The weekend was awesome and the minute details unfortunately, have to be omitted. Apologies.

Friday Night:
Well, I should start a little bit before this... Carole spent the whole day basically packing and getting ready and asked me to make some sort of dessert cake for everyone to eat on the Saturday night. I decided to make Lamingtons because they are Australian, like me! So everyone can have a taste of Australia in the midst of their fancy cheeses and wines. I made the actual cake on Friday and also got the kids their dinner which they ate before we left. In the end we left at about 7.30 for the two hour drive to 'La Villar d'Arene'. A small town in the Provence-Alps-Cote region and an excellent base for any ski holiday. Benoits family owns a massive house (ex-hotel) there and so we had an excellent place to stay. We were the first to arrive and I was amazed at the amount of snow and ice but I managed to make it to the house from the carpark with out falling over, phew! Eventually the other families all came along, one by one until that night, there were three different families. We had dinner, then I got frustrated at my lakc of ability to understand French in large group situations thus, went to bed.

Saturday:
I woke up Saturday morning to a knocking on my door and a random 'Monsieur? Oh pardon' and then the person leaving. It was breakfast time, but I was still asleep haha. I woke up straight after and jumped into the shower. I then had breakfast and met the fourth and final family to arrive. I would love to share their names with you, but even after a weekend, I have no idea what they were. I'm useless like that.

After breakfast I snuck into the kitchen while hoping no one would notice and started making the icing for the lamingtons. It didnt take long for the scent of melting chocolate to prick peoples interest and within about 5 minutes half the group had come in to ask what I was doing and why I was doing it... It was okay though, it made it fun, talking while cooking. I was amazed when my lamingtons were done because they worked. I made them, they looked like lamingtons and they smelt like lamingtons. I was succesful (again, phew!) I was worried about the taste though. I hadnt tried it yet and had to wait until that night like everyone else.

After finishing my lamingtons I realised a large portion of the people who were at the house, were not. They had gone to their massive fancy ridiculously difficult ski place. Carole, Letissa (I've mentioned numerous times, I just learnt her name, I went on the bikeride with her and Carole that time), Her son Teophan (spelling-ignore), Maxu (6 years old) and his father (I dont know his name) Tim and I went to another mountain. The weather was unbeatable. It was sunny, cloudless and just stunning which made everything just seem unrealistic. The views were just so spectacular that it really felt like it was a backdrop for a movie set.

The skiing itself was pretty amazing too. I love skiing, I am getting much better now too. I can do red (the second hardest level) with relative ease. I did try black (which is apparently very rare for a 5th time skiier) but it was hard and I fell over a lot haha. Poor Tim, however, was even worse off than me, he practically rolled the entire way down, it was quite funny to watch actually and it was good he had the right spirit and laughed the whooooole way. Well, most of the way. The only bad thing about skiing here though was the skilift which came at you really fast when you were getting on and it bruised my leg because there was a metal bit that stuck out in the middle and wacked me. It hurts now still. Oh well, so worth it.

Back at the house, I read magazines and entertained myself while everyone rushed around for showers and dinner etc. Just before dinner the adults and I had a few social wines and chatted. Well, they chatted, I tried my best to follow the conversation, getting a word in was inpossible because there were a few convos at once and everytime I oculd think of something to input the conversation changed completely. I dislike large group conversations. Its just impossible. Anyway, then we had tea which was something that the town created. Its something beginning with 'f' and its like a pie with heaps of random vegetables and stuff in the middle, I was too scared to ask because it tasted good and I didnt want to ruin it. After, we had my lamingtons which were, if I can say so myself, not bad at all. I liked them and by the end of the weekend it was completely gone AND people said they liked them... so they couldnt have been that bad. Oh! Also, a guy from Paris who is a friend of the Carole and Benoit arrived during tea. I think his name was Mark and he was sharing my room. He snores. A lot. Everyone went to bed at around 11.30ish because they were all up and atom for another ski day and so I stayed up a bit after playing on my iPod. Big mistake because when I finally wanted to go to sleep all I could hear was snoring. Sigh. I eventually fell asleep but kept waking up throughout the night. Oh well, he was a nice bloke though and talked to me a little bit so it really wasnt all that bad haha.

Sunday:
I didnt ski today, I had to stay home and look after all the kids because they didnt want/werent capable (like me) to go on the advanced ski thing. I also had the help of *shit, I really should know his name* (Letissa's husband) between 8-12 then Benoit 12-4 so I didnt really have to do much. I spent the morning just sitting around and doing n'importe quoi until I decided to do a little tour of the town. I asked the kids if they wanted to come but of course they didnt except Maxu so it was just us two touring around for about 45 minutes checking out the tiny town.

Thee town is very typical french, all the houses are very close together and the church is massively oversized. It was also really weird because they snow like drowned the town. You could see the roofs of sheds and things just stcking out of the snow and fountains just completely frozen. It was just like... I dont know. It was cool. Maxu was good company we chatted a bit about skiing and animals for a while, he doesnt like dogs and there a random dogs running all around the town so at one point I had to carry him because he was scared of them... Silly dogs.

After I went back to doing nothing until Benoit made lunch which was cabonara. That went down nicely then more bumming around when we decided we'd all go play in the snow. The group of us walked out to a big snow patch thing. There, I had a snow fight with Salome and Fanny whilst Tim, Teophan, Maxu and the dogs who followed for some reason played catch. Benoit just sat back and watched. The snowfight was fun, Fanny hurt her leg yesterday skiing and was unable to move very well so she was an easy target hehe. We played in the snow for a while until we had to go back because the rest were about to return.

We then had snacks and stuff to keep us going through till tea and then we started packing up and everything. At one point I went up to the kids' section to help them with their sleeping bags, get into their jamies before leaving etc. but me, being the great-parenting figure I am, accidently turned it into a massive fully fledged pillow fight/wrestling match all of them against me. It was great fun! There was all up 8 kids tackling me from 5-12 years old. I still pwned.

Eventually, we did tidy up and the first two families said their au revoirs (actually, the first family I think said their au revoirs well before the pillow fight, because I dont recall their kids being there...?) anyway, yes we said goodbye and then did some more tidying up. Then we played uno (well Fanny, Basiten, Salome and Salomes older sister *DEATH TO NAMES*) until dinner which was some rice dish thing which was nice and a mix of other stuff.

finally dinner was done, we all took part in the tidying up etc. and we were ready to go. We chucked everything into the car and then commenced the drive home. Two hours later we got there OH AND WE SAW A FOX - not all that exciting, but I was excited at the time. Why? Dunno haha. Back here the kids went to bed as it was 10.30 and Carole, Benoit and I did the unpacking. Then I came and typed this.

I totally cannot be bothered posting photos. So I have named this 34a and then tomorrow I'll do part b and that will comprise of the photos.

Till then, have a nice day :D

p.s. I also got a bit sunburnt on my face... yes.

Part 33: Till Sunday do us Part

Friends, family and stalkers,

I regret to inform you that I will be unable to post any blogs until Sunday. This actually means I only miss Friday night and Saturday but I figured, as I knew in advance, I should let you know.

It is 5.00pm and thus the earliest time I have written a blog to date, I also have very little to report. Sort of. My day began at 8.30am when I woke up and stared at the ceiling thinking about my day to come. I got up around 8.45am and went to have breakfast promptly followed by a shower.

I then had another lenthy conversation on webcam with my Mother and my Sister who were both well and great to talk to. I always look forward to Friday mornings because I know I will get to see my family back at home again. I am very aware, however, of the absence of my Father who is always in Perth earning the money which is part-funding this trip. I am planning to talk to him on Sunday night though, I hope all goes to plan.

After a long chat and a refreshed spirit I went downstairs and had lunch with Carole, Fanny and Salome. We had left overs and I dont know why, but I was famished and ate a lot. It was an enjoyable meal. The three girls all discussed an upcoming sportball event. It is where you dress up in sport-like gear and go to a nice night out. I am not going, however, as I will be in Lyon that night. It has finally dawned on me, also, that Couchsurfing is a great idea for the extrovert. Me, I am now worried I'll get there and panic. I worry too much, I know but it has dawned on me and felt I needed to say it. I wont let it hold me back though as I am trying to be braver and explore. Couch Surfing- will be done.

After lunch I drove to Pontcharra station with Carole so I know where it is for Tuesday when I may have to drive solo. I am petrified of driving in France and do not enjoy it. At all. In fact, I hate it. It is so similar in many ways and so different in others that I get confused as to which is what. Hopefully, if I do end up driving solo on Tuesday, I will only have to ever do it that one time as I dont like it. I am glad I have done it, sure, but doing it once is enough for me. We went grocery shopping at Pontcharra then came back and I baked a cake. Its going to turn into lamingtons once it has cooled over night. I felft they needed a taste of Australia, and making it from scratch felt like the correct way of doing this. So far, it hasnt been a disaster.

Now, I have just finished packing to go to my ski weekend. I dont know what to expect but hopefully some sun will make the journey that little bit nicer.

Enjoy yourselves this weekend, and stay safe!

As for the stalkers, please, I have nothing to offer but my simple, potentially interesting blogs, please do not actually come and find me. Thank you.

Sincerely yours,

Doug

Part 32: Bipolar

Its 7.30pm currently and I am sure I am going to have to go for tea in a minute but I thought I would start my blog as it seems to be a good way to fill in time. Also, I am a bit lonely at the moment (like, just now whilst I'm doing nothing) and writing my blog is my connection back home so it should cheer me up a little bit. Here goes...

Today was not bad, I woke up early (7.00) with the intentions of getting up and catching the early train to Grenoble for university today only to fall back asleep and wake up at 7.40- 6 minutes before the train. The next one was the 8.22 so I had to catch that instead. I rushed to get ready and gather my things. The Italians, which were actually here, where already gone by this stage, I met them last night and exchanged 'Ciaos' but that was all I saw of them.

Carole took me to Goncelin station and I arrived with enough time to buy a ticket and get on the train. Apparently you can buy tickets on the train if you need to, so I know that for future reference... Haha. Anyway, the train trip was good, I did French homework I had completely forgot about which was to write about an art piece and why liked it and such. It as pretty easy and took about 20 minutes. I chose Guernica by Picasso because it was the only painting I could remember anything about - good old Studio Arts 2008. I got off at the Grenoble station and trammed to university with no dramas this week, in fact it was almost too easy finding my way to uni, which was good.

Upon arriving I went to the office and then finally registered properly and paid and such for my course thus recieving my student card (which is so dodgy looking, I remember Lachlan getting his at Swinburn and its like... a proper card and good and then you look at mine... its like a folded pieace of paper with clear sticky stuff over it... so shit, but oh well!)

**TEA TIME (7.36pm)**

I return at 8.24 with a fuller stomache and lifted spirits. I like tea time. So, where was I? *reads back...yep yep, blah blah blah* Ah yes! my crappy student card! Okay, so I got that and then went off to class. Oh! I didnt mention and cannot be bothered pressing the backspace that I could have done the entire course for free. When I first put my name down for the program, it didnt go through properly, so I could have gone to classes and everyone would have known who I was and that I had 'enlisted' but I would never have been asked to pay! Oh well, I am to nice for that! (Only cause I realised AFTER I paid what had happened - the lady told me) Hehe.

I went off to class and had the day learning French. I still am not convinced how beneficial these lessons are for my French, I mean I learn things occasionally, but its not really got any structure behind teaching the language. The way the class runs is fine but the work we do kinda sucks. I do like it though because sitting in a classroom and knowing that there are so many nationalities in the one spot is just so cool. Also, it cant be bad for my French AND I get social stuff. So, its still good. I like it. Yea, Jasmine, there is an Irish girl who joined and I talk to her just to hear her speak and it reminds me of you and how much you love the accent. I deliberatly asked her long answer questions just to listen to her talk and say things in an Irish way. Simply awesome. Hehe. I also talked to Lauren (American) about our upcoming Lyon trip which we are organising still. I hope she can find someone for us to surf with, thats her job. Mine is to find the touristy things to do. I also want to check out things that are on the way to Lyon, as we're driving we can stop in a town or two to check it out. I cant wait for it, I hope its good. We seem to get along pretty okay and she appreciates that I am helping her with her French so, its good.

At lunch time we all went to the cafeteria and got lunch which is sooo cheap. I mean, I had a pizza (because my favorite sandwhich had sold out D:) which came with fruit and a packet of chips and a drink and it was 4euro ($6.50ish). Thats it. I must stress, this was no small pizza either. I love that cafeteria. Haha. I think anywhere else it would cost about at least 14euro ($22.50ish) so yea, its a good deal, I think. Then we all sat outside in the freezing cold for some reason and got to know each other some more. A few of them have known each other for a while, which became evident, but still its a cool dynamic group. I hope I fit in okay. I did get invited to go bowling on Saturday but I cant go because I am out skiing. Anyway, yea, just to state exactly how dynamic in a literal sense we are, our nationalities on the one table (and this is only some of the class): Australian, American, Canadian, English, Irish and Polish (we're like the 'english speaking' group... so we dont sound all the different now that I look at it but the accents are a great give away.

After uni I trammed/trained to Goncelin station where I bought my tickets to Geneva, Switzerland for next Tuesday. They costed me 27euro ($45ish) which, all considered is amazingly cheap. $45 to go to Switzerland and back for the day- cannot complain. So, that should be fun, I am less excited then I should be due to the fact that I am there for a very long day (I leave at 6.45am and get back at 8.30pm) and I am worried I'll run out of things to do... Ridiculous though, a whole new city/country to explore and only in one day!

Back home I just shpent time alone until I got lonely and started this blog. Tea was nice as I said, we had this cool thing which was like all veggies mixed into something... yep. I surprised myself when I wanted seconds- it was good. After tea, I talked to Benoit about organising my trip to Rome, its looking like its the 9th of April. I dnt know when I'll get back, I might just wing it and tour around. I'll get to Venice at some point hopefully too. Dunno. The flight to Rome was about 130euro (just over $200ish- I am getting good at rough conversions but accuracy takes concentration, I do it when I need it but 'ish' is good enough for my blog, I think) but again, all considered $200 to go to Rome? Hell yes!! Cant wait for that one. Oh and I have to talk to Louisa (Paris) about Paris. and get a date and book my train, which will be fair expensive. This is when life gets a little bit dearer - when I do stuff. Hmm.... Oh well! whats the point in being here if I dont spend all my money trying to see as much as I can?!

My god, I am in such a good mood compared to when I started. Amazing. :

I am signing off at 8.48pm

Catchyas :D

p.s. its actually 8.49!

Part 31: The proper ski instructor (assistant)

So today I woke up bright and early (8.30) and stared at my ceiling pondering over whether or not I wanted to go skiing today. For one, it was early and I couldnt be bothered getting out of bed also, it was foggy and thus ore than likely freezing. On the other hand, however, it would be good to go skiing while I have the chance as much as I can, and the free skiing possibilty ends next Wednesday, so I really should go...

I got up and had a shower went downstairs and had breakfast still unsure. Carole was there and Tim was there saying he didnt want to go. I sat and listened for a while and made up my mind to not go. Then Carole told me what she was doing for the day and that ski would be much more exciting than doing nothing so I changed my mind and went to ski. I think I was slightly moody about it all this morning too, so apologies. I chucked on my snow stuff and we went to pick up Armendine (I can see Carole picking on my spelling already) who is Corentin (please be correct.. now!) younger sister. We eventually got to le Touvet and there I met up with Helene and then was told that today I was to be a part of one of the groups for the day, helping the kidliwinks and actually being like the helper rather than a tagalong like last week.

I sat next to Tim on the bus trip there but talked to another woman who was in the same group as me, it was just us two and then the instructor for the group. She spoke very basic English, so we spoke in French about ourselves. It turns out she has gone back recently to uni to study marketing, which was cool we had a chat about that and I mentioned that advertising and marketing was something I was interested in. When we got there I helped all the kids get ready and everything then we made the (painful- I really hate ski boots) walk up to the snow where we waited around for the instructors...I stood awkwardly until people came and talked to me, its good being a point of interest sometimes.

We finally started skiing at around 12.15 and so I followed the group trying to throw encouragement around when needed. I dont even knowif I was properly understood but it made me feel like I was doing something haha. The skiing itself for the most part was quite dull because I was following the newbies around (yes, I can call them newbies...) It was interesting though, because they go realllllly really slow, so I am not used to doing that, thus it was probably good for learning control. Anyway, I did get a quick run on my own towards the end and so, it was all good.

We then had lunch and then I helped get the kids ready to go back on the bus and go home. The bus trip was spent talking to Tim this time, about music he claims to like 'everysong in the world' so I challenged this theory by showing him my iPod. I won, he didnt like 'Red Jumpsuit Apparatus'. Screemo - nobody likes it. Haha.

Back at home I worked on my project. I love it so much. I dont even know if its really any good but I enjoy doing it and I think its cool. I showed Carole and she seemed to like it, so it cant be that bad :D win! Yea... That takes a lot of time, so that took me until tea time. Well, just about, I was talking to Carole and then we decided we should watch an episode of 'Smallville' before tea because after tea she had a meeting and Smallville is that important. I am sorry, you just dont understand! Haha. Lana turned into an ancient witch and like took Clarkes powers away and then went in search of ancient stones and omg this season is just bizarre.

Tea/kids to bed (because Carole was out, I had to do it) then here. Apparently there are two Italian people in the house at the moment with Benoit staying the night (thus making me need to share my bathroom OH I NEED TO CHARGE MY PHONE) so, I might go downstairs and see whats doing...

uni tomorrow. early morning. death (doesnt deserve caps)

Catchyas!

Part 30: The Tourist

Bonjour!

I was quite the tourist today, I was. I loved it too! As I mentioned yesterday I spent the day in Grenoble, seeing it as a complete tourist. I did it so I can learn about the city and locations of everything and so I can really understand it. I think I achieved that today. It was good. I know my way around to all the main spots and some other things that I just stumbled upon and thought were pretty cool.

This morning I got up at 8.30 (deaaath...lol) and got up and ready with a slight essence of excitement following me around. It was good knowing I had something fun to do for the day. Carole dropped me at the station and to avoid any disaster, I quickly run out of the car and checked that my train timing was correct, it was so I gave the thumbs up and I was alone. I then had an instant problem, the train just arrived and I hadnt had time to buy a ticket. The next train wasnt until 1.30pm so I had 2 choices, ring Carole and tell her I missed the train or well.... not buy a ticket. In Australia, I would not be caught dead doing this just because there are ticket inspectors on every bloody train but here, I had a trip the other day with no inspectors so I just prayed I wouldnt get caught (I had the toilets mapped out in my head, just in case!). I jumped on the train and sat down trying to be inconspicious and running awesome spy-like ways I could get out of any run-ins with the law I could encounter. Luckily, no one came and checked so, I scored a free ride to Grenoble, although it was scary the thought of being caught and not knowing wat the punishment was. Never again. Haha.

When I arrived I caught the tram to the Art Museum which was my main reason of going into Grenoble today only to find out it was closed (alongside ALL museums) on Tuesdays. At first I was gutted and was like.. well what the hell do I do now?! Then I realised there was so much I havent seen or wanted to try here, so I had a whole day to just explore blind. I first made my way to the famous ouefs things (the eggs that go up to the bastille) only to find that didnt open for another 20 minutes. I didnt want to wait so, deciding to come back later, went off in search of the 'office du tourisme'. I hunted around and found it quickly. They gave me a map that had all the touristy spots on it and told me things I already knew. The map was good though.

First I went back to the Bastille, but a different, quicker way than before I figured out by fluke! I took the very touristy ouefs up to the Bastille just to say that I had done it. I mean, I'd been to the Bastille, but not the touristy way. I literally went up stood and looked out for about 5 minutes and went to the souvenir shop just to not look like an idiot going straight up and down. Hehe. It was fun though and something I'd been wanting to do since first seeing them, so all is good.

After them, I pondered around some more looking for anything interesting. I caught trams galore and just went everywhere and anywhere I could find. I went back and forth and found some really cool things and some really not that exciting things. By about 12, I had seen everything the tour on the map took me too (but that didnt include everything I wanted to see!) but I was hungry and it was cold so I decided to catch a tram for 20 minutes out to a big shopping plaza. I was surprised I found it so easily, I kinda guessed my way there. I did though, and it was good. I had been at the plaza for half an hour once before (on the day I went rock climbing, if you recall!) but I spent a good 2 hours there just walking around going in and out of shops, again, I didnt buy anything really. I dont know why but I am to scared to buy anything. So silly. Oh! I did by lunch though. I had lunch there.

When I got bored of the plaza I trammed back in to the centre of Grenoble and sat on some steps thinking of what to do next. I decided I wanted to see the Winter Olympics '68 flame bowl up close and the big tower thing that you can see from nearly everywhere thats behind it. It wasnt on my map and I didnt know how to get there, so I just looked at it in the distance and hopped on a random tram that luckily, went straight passed it! I got off as soon as I could and walked up to the bowl and tower which where both quite impressive up close, the tour especially. I took some photos and stayed there for a bit, I really like the tower, I dont know why, its just cool. I made sure to touch them both so i can look back and be like... 'yea, I touched that...' then left.

Next I made my way to the church (which is also called the Notre Dame!) and spent about 20 minutes sitting in there. It wasnt huge or anything, but I liked the feel of the place. It was so comfortable. I walked around for a bit and took photos but then just sat, turned my iPod off and just listened to the quiet chatter of other tourists and a faint piano track playing in the background. It was really peaceful. Eventually though, I left and the wondered what to do next,

I still had about an hour and by now, I had seen everything Ithought I wanted to see. I then just walked around until I ended up in some spot that I didnt really think of visiting, the old part of Grenoble. I didnt see it all of it, I just kinda went on the outskirts and admired it After, I went in search of a specific shop that I went to once, but I could remember for the life of me where it was. I didnt find it in the end but the journey bought me some very attractive headturners (objects AND people) that made me smile the whole time. Eventually it was time to go. I felt like I had done enough for the day and its good because I still have the museums for a free rainy day!

The train trip home was so good too! (one, I was relaxed because I bought a ticket! I am such a rebel!) I sat down and called Carole to let her know to pick me up soon and because I said it in English, the girl I was sitting next to became interested in me. She couldnt speak English and so we spent the entire train trip just chatting in French. What was so good though is that it was so natural and fun and it was just a normal conversation. We were talking about what we do, why I was in France etc. she is a 20yo biology student at Uni who can speak Italian. Oh, and she commented that I have good french and it was impressive. I was pretty chuffed haha. I was sad to leave the train not knowing her name but whoever she was, she was pretty awesome. Anyway, so that put me in a good mood as well.

I met Carole at Goncelin station and chatted about my day and because I had been doing it, I did so in French. When we got back to SMd'A it was just about 6 we picked up Tim then went home then I chucked my stuff upstairs and run over to Vincents place, I had English with Antoine. English went well we were going over 6 irregular verbs helping him commit them to memory. Chya... We did translations and such as well... I hope I am helping and not confusing him more... haha. I need more of a plan.

Back at home it was tea (dinner!) time. Then I came up and played around on the net and typed this. I am doing it earlyish today I dont think the day is over, but all I can imagine myself doing is computing and tv-ing. Oh! I am also in a good OMG COUCHSURFING IS AWESOME mood. I cant wait to give it a crack. I have so many new plans I can make now! Time is now the only problem, my lack there of! Amazing.

Oh, and my inablity to be spontaneous.

Anyway, thats all! Toodles!

(good day today! :) )

Photos?

(Me infront of the tour perret! :D It was built in 1925 and is 83m tall. Built for some touristy stuff)

(The 1968 Winter olympic Games bowl and the tower in the background. They look so good together)

(inside the church, sorry its a terrible photo and doesnt do it justice)

(A statue I like. Its a person [sorry, I forget who!] its pretty big and quite cool)

Part 29: A bit different

So, I thought I'd be a bit different today and do a comic strip of my day. Obviously, theres not as much detail, but it took quie a while to draw! Sorry, its really little the blog doesnt make it biger and I didnt think of it.
Strip 1: so, it was a beautiful day in SMdA, the sun was shining and the birds were singing...
Strip 2: but I stayed inside like a crazy person (butterfly is saying 'Nobody expects 'the butterfly')
Strip 3: I spent the day on skype!
Strip4: Planning a trip to ITALY :O
Strip 5: Teaching piano to a kid with a broken arm
Strip 6: and then watching smallville. What a day. hahaha. I love smallville / its about superman as a kid but its too hard to draw
There you go. Sorry, its not detailed, but much more fun for me and something just to jazz up the blog slightly.
Righto, I'm off to bed, Grenoble tomorrow!
**EDIT**
Click on the picture, it will become much bigger and better! :D
